New Moon Casting Complete? Director Set For Eclipse?

The casting director for New Moon, Joseph Middleton, has announced that “We are finished with the casting process”. No details on the cast list has been released by Summit Entertainment.

The rumor mill has been on fire with talk of Madonna, Vanessa Hudgens, AnnaLynne McCord, and Dakota Fanning being hired for a coveted spot on the New Moon cast, however there has been no official confirmation of any of them being hired.
There have also been rumors circulating that Drew Barrymore will be directing the third installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Series. These rumors are false. Due to the New Moon production schedule for director Chris Weitz, his brother and co-owner of “Depth of Field Productions” – Paul Weitz – will be directing Eclipse. Chris Weitz is about to start directing “New Moon” but will still be in post-production when the third film starts shooting.
Just last week, Summit officially announced “Eclipse” will be released in theaters June 10, 2010.

Eclipse will NOT be filmed back-to-back with New Moon, and there will be completely separate casting cycle. Details about future auditions and open casting calls for Eclipse can be found on the following auditions website: ..

No Callback Yet, for Solomon Or Krys

Solomon Trimble - "Sam" & Krys Ivory - "Embry"

Solomon Trimble - "Sam" & Krys Ivory - "Embry"

If you like Solomon Trimble and Krys Embry in the wolf pack of Twilight, their roles are looking up-in-the-air right now for New Moon. According to Trimble, neither of the actors have been contacted by the team behind New Moon to reprise their role at this point. This revelation comes from a new blog post by New Moon hopeful Koa Orquia, which we found via a group of folks that are hoping for Solomon Trimble to stay in New Moon called, appropriately enough–Team Solomon. In response to our recent article about Orquia’s New Moon casting experience, and a meeting between the Twilight wolf pack and Chris Weitz, Solomon sent Orquia this note earlier today– There is no such meeting with krys and I. “We have not been contacted yet at all.” Bad news for fans of Solomon Trimble and Krys Embry. Seems crazy that this is still up in the air when shooting begins in about a month! Be sure to check out the Team Solomon site if you want Trimble to stay in New Moon!

Here`s the Team Solomon site . . . – Please support. We here at A Never Ending Twilight feel that Solomon is capable of so much more than what we got to see in Twilight. We feel the same for Krys Ivory. Help keep these two as our Embry & Sam.

A Possible ‘Eclipse’ Director

Rumors are going around that Summit maybe looking to hire Drew Barrymore to direct ‘Eclipse’. Really Summit?? I mean no offense to Drew Barrymore, shes a great actress but directing something big like the Twilight Saga might be a bit much for her. Besides the fact that Drew has only directed one movie, so that makes no sense! What do you think??
