Tournament of the Wolves: Taylor Lautner Battles Against Anna Paquin

FearNet’s Tournament of the Werewolves continues through this week with some interesting results.

“The Twilight Saga’s” Jacob Black beat “Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s” Oz in the Teen Wolf category 59 percent to 41 percent, while Anna Paquin‘s Laurie made it into the final four thanks to her she-wolf from “Trick ‘R’ Treat.” Those two will face off Wednesday as the final four is narrowed down to the final two.

Considering the passionate and devoted Joss Whedon fan community, we’re a bit surprised Taylor Lautner beat out Seth Green as a teen wolf. It seems as though the times are indeed a-changing and as we enter a new decade it’s easy to have Jacob Black’s beautiful abs more clearly imprinted on our minds than the now 10-year-old werewolf from “Buffy.”

Anna Paquin didnt have it so easy with the narrowest win margin among the final four, only beating Ginger from “Ginger Snaps” 54 percent to 46 percent. Now we’re back to the time difference, as “Ginger Snaps” was a huge cult hit from 2000, while “Trick ‘R’ Treat” was much beloved after it finally made its way to DVD this past year. Add to that the fact Anna is in the prime of her career thanks to “True Blood,” and you’ve got yourself a winner.

Rounding out the final four are David Kessler from “An American Werewolf in London” and Captain Ryan from “Dog Soldiers” — an American versus a foreign classic.

Both face-offs seem like a bit of a toss-up to us, so share your thoughts below (and vote at FearNet’s site) on who you would vote for and who you think is the most terrifying werewolf of all time.
