What’s the Cast is doing in 2010?

The Twilight cast is positively gigantic at this point. With The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse complete, the list of cast members has grown significantly. There are some who play, well, bigger roles in the film series (i.e., Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner), but even with a cast this formidable, each and every actor in the series holds a special place in the hearts of Twilight fans who support their careers even outside of the series.

There are a few whose 2010 adventures have been well elucidated and explored. For instance, the fact that they’ll be showing in the summer’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is pretty much a given.

Even still, a comprehensive round-up of where you’ll see the Twilight cast in 2010 couldn’t hurt, now could it? This’ll be continually updated as more information comes in, by the way.

Rachelle Lefevre Says She ‘Couldn’t Manage’ Going To ‘New Moon’ Premiere

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Rachelle Lefevre opted not to stop by the “New Moon” premiere Monday night to bid farewell the “Twilight” franchise before Bryce Dallas Howard replaces her in “Eclipse.”

The actress, who plays the evil vampire Victoria in the first two movies, gave two reasons for not attending the premiere on herTwitter. “2 fans at the premiere: w/ Honey in hospital,” she wrote. “& being fired from Eclipse tonight was just 2 emotional 4 me & I couldn’t manage it. So sorry.”

Earlier in the day, Lefevre had tweeted that her dog, Honey, hadn’t been feeling well and that she was at the hospital with her pet. “Honey is in the hospital and I don’t know what’s going to happen. I wonder if you can die from a broken heart,” she wrote. “2 all of u who shared ur pet stories & losses I thank you. I feel less alone with this pain & wish u all the best outcomes & healed hearts.”

In July, Summit Entertainment announced it was recasting Lefevre with Howard due to “scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made.” Lefevre responded with her own statement about the situation.

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga and to the portrayal of Victoria,” the 30-year-old actress insisted. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. … I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

Rachelle Lefevre In Gotham Magazine

With long, curly red hair, porcelain skin and a loud, infectious laugh, actress Rachelle Lefevre is hard to overlook. But until she appeared as the bitchy bloodsucker Victoria in the 2008 smash hit Twilight, she’d been a relative unknown. Now with the hotly anticipated second film in the series, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, hitting theaters November 20 and two more films in the works, Lefevre is about to find herself in the glare of the spotlight.

“When I first got to LA, everybody said I was too ‘girl-next-door’ for edgier roles,” she says. “I ended up playing a stripper, an escort, a vampire and an off-her-rocker troubled poet. I keep playing roles that are not even close to the girl next door.”

While Lefevre’s upcoming projects will certainly keep her from being typecast, they also give the actress a chance to walk a mile in some very different shoes. In Barney’s Version, she plays the manic-depressive, hippie-poet first wife of costar Paul Giamatti. In Casino Jack, she’s a Washington, DC, power player (opposite Kevin Spacey and Jon Lovitz), a character that’s based on real life press secretary Emily Miller.

“We’d gotten the suits together and [when we went] shopping for shoes, I bought these intensely spiky Fendi and Christian Dior stilettos,” says Lefevre. “I felt she was a little bit ‘vanity first,’ and it helped me find her as a character. And I do that without judgment— depending on how you grow up and the circles you move in, you value different things, and I saw her as valuing really good heels.”

When she’s not on set, the 30-year-old Montreal native prefers J Brand jeans, tees, boots, blazers and a signature piece of chunky jewelry. Her last fashion splurge: a gray patent leather Chloé Eloise bag. And while she’ll also cop to Balmain and Stella McCartney obsessions, it’s at New York City’s myriad vintage stores, including Cadillac’s Castle and Zachary’s Smile, that she gets her best retail therapy.

However, dressing up for Gotham’s fashion shoot gave the actress a whole new appreciation for modern design. “There’s quite a difference between putting on a regular dress and a dress that has a bodice built into it, and boning and all this invisible stuff underneath,” she says. “I literally had a different body in these dresses. They’re designed to physically make you, from the neck down, a better woman.”

The source adds, “She worked so hard—she wouldn’t miss it for the world. She’s looking forward to reuniting with her New Moon castmates.”

SELF Magazine: Photos and Video

All three actors were so comfortable to be with–not at all awkward OR diva-esque, it was amazing. They clearly enjoyed each other and had spent so much time together that their comfort level made everyone feel at ease. Throughout the day, we chatted about stunt-training (they were all really into that), how rough it is for Rob Pattinson (Ashley said she knows she can go undetected if she’s with him because press will go right for Rob) and how lucky they were for the whole Twilight experience. Rachelle tried to talk Ashley into starting to Twitter, which she’s really into, and Kellan played with his dog Kola or read perspective scripts between shots. The shoot was right before it was announced that Rachelle wouldn’t be in the third movie, Eclipse, (we were shocked!) so everyone was also talking about when they’d be heading to Vancouver for pre-filming rehearsals and training for that film.
Check out our exclusive behind-the-scenes video (and bonus pictures!)–you’ll see what an awesome shoot we had with the New Moon crew, and why the day made us more excited than ever for the movie, which comes out November 20th. But before that, check out the gorgeous fashion story (the first one with a male celebrity in the mag in forever) in our November issue, on sale October 20th.
