Conversation with Lady Vamp: Nikki Reed

220px-reed.jpg

Rosalie’s part continues to grow with each film. What scenes—out of the three films thus far—have been your favorites to shoot and why?

I just wrapped Eclipse yesterday and the last scene we shot is probably my favorite thus far. I finally got to tell my story, in a very gentle yet elaborate way.

What was it like working with Chris Weitz on New Moon and David Slade on Eclipse?

It’s challenging because all of the directors have a different perspective and a different approach. It was great working with David because he really took the time to sit down with me and go over every moment. Chris is an amazing man, but unfortunately we didn’t have that much to do together as the Cullens are only in a few scenes in New Moon. David is quite a character and tons of fun to work with. Both men had a very strong vision, which is essential.

Elizabeth Reaser said that the two of you pal around on set and like to listen to Jay-Z. Is that what you typically do during your downtime?

Yes, Elizabeth and I bonded quite a bit during the filming of Eclipse. The experience in Vancouver this time felt more isolated as the cast was split up into different housing locations for security purposes. We were all totally exhausted and routinely photographed every time we left the apartment. I was very grateful to have Elizabeth there with Jay-Z and dark chocolate covered Halvah.

What other music are you really into right now?

I’m loving Chris Cornell.

How has Twilight affected your career?

It’s introduced me to a different audience, more criticism, and taught me to laugh a lot more.

What kind of work would you like to do once the Twilight saga ends?

I will definitely be taking it easy for a little while and exploring directing/producing/writing.

Lastly, we’re doing a game of wordplay with everyone we interview. Please give one word to describe each Cullen-clan cast mate starting with Peter Facinelli.

‘New Moon’ Volturi Vamp Charlie Bewley Stands Guard As This Week’s Hump Day Hottie

The “Twilight Saga” has become to go-to place for Hump Day Hottie’s (see: Jamie Campbell-Bower), and just hotties in general. Hello, R-Pattz and Taylor! And, with “New Moon” rising into theaters this Friday, it seems like the right time to honor one of the new kids on the block, Charlie Bewley. He may play an old vamp, but he’s just fresh enough on the screen to be honored.

Press play on the video below to see more of Charlie, and then keep reading for more details about him.

Vital Stats: To be honest, Charlie is a bit of an enigma — there isn’t much out there about his personal life. But, when he was told about his HDH status he seemed genuinely excited.”Out of everyone in the world, I’m the hottest?” he asked with a laugh before sincerely thanking Hollywood Crush for the accolade during the “New Moon” mall tour stop in New Jersey. He, of course, then leaned over towards costar Daniel Cudmore and bragged before insisting, “I’m pretty sure it’s well deserved for the amount of time I spend primping and preening.”

As for his seemingly mysterious past, he did once joke to Twilight Lexicon about his pastimes. “I don’t really rollerblade,” he revealed. “Much.”

Where you might have already seen him: He’s relatively new to the scene, and his IMDB profile leads us to believe that “New Moon” and the forthcoming “Eclipse,” in which he plays Volturi vamp Demetri, are his big breaks in the industry.

Why you should take notice of him now: Well, he’s in the “Twilight Saga,” so need we say more? But, we have to say that although he plays a “bad guy” on the big screen, he has a pretty killer sense of humor in real life. “The most challenging thing was keeping away from the kraft tent,” he told Twilight Lexicon about the perils of shooting “New Moon.” “The food they serve up is damn good and I have a nut addiction which rivals your average lipid-deficient Brazilian squirrel.”

He’s even willing to tease R-Pattz on being such a big deal these days. “He looks a lot like my little brother Andrew with whom I love a good scrap,” he joked. “We’ve been a long swim away from each other for a while him and I, and I was hoping Rob would stand in for a couple of rounds. But he was too busy being a superstar … Meh.”

Until next Wednesday, when we nominate yet another Hump Day Hottie, you can gawk at Charlie and the rest of our past HDH’s by clicking on the photo below!

I know he was HOT as soon as he was cast. I know I had a conversation with De in which I stated OK, so CHARLIE is definitely MINE. LOL

Robert Pattinson Can’t Figure Out Why He’s So Sexy

Robert Pattinson might be one of the sexiest men on the face of the planet, but he doesn’t really understand what people see in him. In fact, the very idea of looking at his appearance in a positive way makes him want to cringe.
“Favorite feature? I’m, like, ‘Weird,’ ’cause I’m kind of self-obsessed and kind of only about negative stuff,” he told MTV at the London junket for “New Moon.” ” … In saying something positive, I’ll hate myself even more.”
Despite their onscreen rivalry, Pattinson promised Twilighters that there’s no heartthrob battle erupting between him and Taylor Lautner. “It’s funny, ’cause we’re quite opposite people in a lot of ways, but I get on with him really well,” he said. “It’s really funny how this rivalry thing happened. … For one thing, I can’t fight it out with Taylor. In the movie, yeah ,[I have abs]. That was awhile back.”
In fact, the co-stars are such good real-life friends that while shooting the film together, they became gym buddies. “He made me go to the gym for pretty much the first time in my life” he revealed. “And more consistently than I’ve ever done. But I think I went a little too late.”
Their friendship has inspired Pattinson to choose Team Werewolf over Team Vampire. “I think my mentality suits it more,” he said. “I’m always so annoyed with myself when I get really, really angry. … So it’d be much easier if I turned into this massive dog.”

If he cant figure it out, I’m more than sure that half the women in the world would love to tell him and even show him what he does to us with just a smile or a stare.

ABC Interview with Rob, Taylor and Kristen

twilight munich 141109

The “Twi light” series may have changed the lives of fans world wide, but per haps no one has been more affected by its suc cess than the three stars of the film: Robert Pat tin son, Kris ten Stew art and Tay lor Lautner.

All became overnight sen sa tions when they were intro duced to the novel’s mil lions of fans as the faces of Edward, Bella and Jacob — the three high-school stu dents with mys ti cal secrets at the cen ter of the story. Edward is a vam pire, Jacob is a were wolf and Bella is the ordi nary teenage girl loved by both of them.

attin son, 23, Stew art, 19, and Laut ner, 17, went from bit parts to big stars with the first “Twi light” film. As they pre pare for the release Fri day of the antic i pated sequel, “New Moon,” the young cast reflected on the ups and downs of new found fame.

More after the jump!

AP: What is the best thing to come out of the “Twi light” mania for you?

Stew art: It’s the same sat is fac tion that I get from any other movie, it’s just that so many more peo ple are pay ing atten tion. I always say I make movies for the life expe ri ence — lit er ally, you steal from the char ac ters you play — and to know that that’s actu ally affect ing 100 mil lion not only lit tle girls, but really spans the ages of peo ple, it just feels good. It’s so dif fer ent from any thing I’ve ever expe ri enced, so that’s def i nitely the best thing.

Pat tin son: Pre sent ing at the Oscars and stuff, it’s just kind of so sur real. But there’s lit tle things, like recently I’ve been work ing on the “Remem ber Me” trailer and I had very lit tle time to orga nize it, but the con trol you’re given because of “Twilight’s” suc cess is kind of incred i ble. It is an amaz ing feeling.

Laut ner: It’s trav el ing the world in gen eral and see ing this kind of fan sup port world wide. We go to Sao Paolo, Brazil, and then we go to Mex ico City, we go all over the world and we have fans there with the same amount of pas sion every where we go. It’s just amaz ing to know we have that kind of fan sup port behind us.

AP: What’s one thing you miss from your pre-“Twilight” life?

Stew art: I like being out side. I like to take walks and I could totally take walks — it’s not the fans, the fans are great, they would let me walk. It’s the other peo ple, you know what I mean. It’s the other people.

Pat tin son: I loved dri ving around L.A. I know not a lot of peo ple say that, but if you don’t have to get any where, L.A. is the best place to drive ’round in. I used to have this lit tle car, a con vert ible … and I really do miss doing that, as the sun is going down, dri ving over the moun tains. It’s a great thing and I kind of do miss that a lit tle bit. It’s not really the same thing when you’ve got 10 cars fol low ing you.

Laut ner: Malls and movie the aters, or me at them. You have to make adjust ments but you can’t let it get to you.

AP: What has been your most mem o rable fan encounter?

Stew art: There were two girls that wound up in Italy as extras. I had met them pre vi ously in Van cou ver but they were from Min nesota, so lots of trav el ing and strange coin ci dence that they hap pen to have been placed right next to my mark.

Laut ner: There are so many. The Brazil ian fans were very pas sion ate. We were greeted by them at the air port. Appar ently there were bar ri cades but I didn’t see them. It was an inter est ing walk from the air port doors to our car.

AP: How is “New Moon” dif fer ent from “Twilight”?

Stew art: It’s very much rooted in the story. The rea son “Twi light” felt sort of kinetic, like the energy was sort of hard to grasp … was because the whole story was about not being able to grasp that energy but going after it with full force and not car ing about the con se quences. That sort of infil trates “New Moon” because she’s been told that she was absolutely wrong, so now it’s a more mature, con sid er ate approach to the same ideas. Tonally, “New Moon” is dif fer ent in that it also becomes more dan ger ous, it becomes more real. She finally opens her eyes and she’s like, “Oh, I’ve woken up in Won der land. It’s really scary. It’s actu ally scarier than I thought it was going to be” because there are were wolves and all the bad vam pires want to kill her and all of that, so tonally it could not be more different.

Laut ner: It takes every thing Bella and Edward cre ated in “Twi light” and destroys it at the begin ning when he leaves, and it has to rebuild it, or Jacob has to rebuild Bella and then it’s kind of destroyed at the end again. It’s an emo tional roller coaster.
